His concepts and ideas originate in nature as reflection of art created by a powerful supreme being, with whom he finds a resonance, thus allowing him to draw out parallels between man, humanity and nature.

The admirable dimension of Vijay’s series of works evolved over more than one and half decades is his versatility in conceptualizing different forms for clarifying his ideas and has remained successful in executing it. The heroic as well as poignantly dramatic expressions find representations in appropriate forms as wood cut prints and collographs, acrylics, oils, sculptures, installations and mixed media painting marking the ingenuity, creative ardour, committed dedication, emotional intensity and focussed passion toward the realization of his artistic expressions. His works in their evocative power and spiritual simplicity are a visual delight.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born in Tamil Nadu, India, 1987; lives and works in Chennai, India. Vijay’s artistic career was initiated while still a student at the Art Institution. He graduated in 2009 in Printmaking and his M.F.A. was completed in 2011 in Painting. Achievements: 2009 -“From India with Ink” Print show, at Asah Gordon Library in Savannah, Georgia, U.S.A; 2011- Indo- Russian Friendship Society, Russian Cultural Center, Chennai; 2013 - “THE EMERGING CANVAS “II A Korea India Young Artists Exhibition - Seoul, Korea; 2014 - ANNUAL 2014 Exhibition Arts For All, New Delhi; 2018 - “Affordable Art Fair” Singapore; 2022 -“India Art Fair” Art Houz (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016).
