Project of Self-expression
The importance of beautiful things in our lives goes unnoticed by us, and we do not realise how important visually pleasing objects may be in our lives, such as the first rays of light in the morning awakening us to a new day; the four distinct seasons with magnificent summer sunsets and gloomy autumnal nights; city streets with stunning architecture; Innumerable things provide colour to our daily lives, while some of us see things differently, perhaps not with eyes. Yes, they see not with their eyes but seek the support of their hands, ears, noses, and hearts to see the world in a unique way. We are proud to have collaborated on the self-expression project with ACHAMILLAI, a US-based organization with similar goals of raising awareness for those with special needs, particularly the visually impaired. For more information on the organisation, please click on the website link: www.achamillai.org
Through our self-expression projects “THIS-ABLED,” we hope to encourage visually impaired people to discover their skills and produce priceless pieces of art. By involving persons who are visually impaired in the production of unique design items, we help them become more employable, develop their talents, and eventually increase their self-esteem. We are trying to partner with other organisations who have a similar objective to create valuable products with added purpose, to support these abled individuals to be able to find a better position in our society ( Disclaimer Statement: Art Houz UK does not take responsibility for any damages caused from using third-party products, services, or any information provided on their website )
